Exxxotica is the largest fan-facing adult expo in the country — the only one most fans actually attend. Where AVN and XBIZ are industry-first, Exxxotica is fan-first. You buy a ticket, you walk the floor, you meet the performers you've been following, you take a photo, you go home with merch. That's the whole pitch. It works.
The Chicago edition runs every April at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, just outside the city. Exxxotica Chicago 2025 was April 11–13, the 20th anniversary of the expo brand — a milestone they took seriously. Bigger floor, more performers, longer lines.
I worked the floor for all three days:
- Friday is the soft open. Ladies Free Friday means a different demographic than the rest of the weekend — couples, friend groups, fewer first-time attendees.
- Saturday is the busy day. Lines start early. The signings move at a steady clip until close.
- Sunday is more relaxed. The fans who waited all weekend get more time per signing.
If you were in Rosemont that weekend and we met, you got a print, a photo, and probably a hug. If you didn't make it, photos from the floor are in the gallery — the ones the venue lets us share publicly. The next Chicago edition is April 10–12, 2026.
